Make Your Own Bars!
Want to try something a little different from a store bought, packaged bar? Try this! The assortment of seeds provides the body with anti-inflammatory, nervous system supportive and hormone balancing omega 3 fatty acids.
Sweet Rolled Flax Balls
1 cup (preferably golden) flax seeds (ground)
1/2 cup sesame seeds (ground)
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds, chopped fine
2 tbs chia seeds (optional)
1/2-3/4 cup raw honey
1/2-3/4 cup shredded coconut
cinnamon to taste
In mixing bowl, combine seeds with honey, coconut, chia, and cinnamon. Roll mixture into small round balls, or into a longer, log shape. You can add cherries, raisins, almond shavings, etc. Also, if you want a little protein, feel free to add some hemp protein. Put in freezer. Remove from freezer about ten minutes prior to sharing...to maintain firmness you will have to try and keep them cold!
